Week 19 of Pregnancy

Baby's growth

The thin skin has almost no oil underneath, is transparent and looks pink because blood vessels can be seen near the surface, especially on the scalp. The nails and some hair appear. The baby has a lot of space and its movements become more vigorous.

Changes in mother

During the day, rest if you feel tired and don't overdo it. You may need more than eight hours of sleep at night. Your ankles and feet may be swollen, particularly at the end of the day. It is better to rest with your feet elevated. Know the changes your body is going through.

It's good you know...

During pregnancy, your daily diet should include a minimum of three servings of milk products, or milk replacers made from plants rich in protein and calcium. The baby's growth and weight gain will suffer if you smoke, drink alcohol or take drugs. It is never too late to kick a bad habit.
