Week 32 of Pregnancy

Baby's growth

The accelerated growth of the brain continues. It can be seen in the fetal position with the elbow and knees bent against the abdomen.

Weight: 3 3/4 pounds / Size: 16 3/4 inches

Changes in mother

You will notice more and more Braxton Hicks contractions that occur throughout the pregnancy at irregular intervals and of very short duration, but at this time they start to be more frequent and you may feel stronger contractions during this month. You may have trouble sleeping because you are uncomfortable. Try putting several pillows under your head and back.

It's good you know...

Call your doctor immediately if you have signs of preterm labor. What is a vacuum extractor? It is a suction device that is applied to the baby's scalp so the obstetrician can gently pull it out.
