Week 11 of Pregnancy

Baby's growth

The first stages of the placenta are already visible and working, whose function is to exchange nutrients from your body for waste products generated by the baby. The baby's body is now growing very quickly, almost doubling in size. The structures of the skeleton are forming as well as the muscles that control movement.

Changes in mother

There is no menstruation, but there is slight discomfort in the pelvis and increased vaginal secretions. Don't worry, all these changes are perfectly normal.

It's good you know...

Pregnancy can cause some uncomfortable side effects related to digestion. In addition to the hormone progesterone, which slows the emptying of the stomach, the expanding uterus puts increasing pressure on the intestines. The result: indigestion and heartburn that can turn eating your favorite foods into a nightmare. Try to eat smaller portions more often and avoid spicy and fatty foods.
