Ultrasound is a non-invasive, and painless exam that produces pictures of the inside of the body using sound waves. Ultrasound images are captured in real-time, so they are able to show the structure and movement of the body's internal organs.

Ultrasound imaging, also called ultrasound scanning or sonography, involves the use of a small transducer and ultrasound gel that gets placed directly on the skin. Sound waves are transmitted from the transducer, through the gel, and into the body. The transducer collects the sound waves that bounced back and a computer then uses those sound waves to generate an image.

Ultrasound does not use ionizing radiation, so there is no radiation exposure to the patient or baby. Over 30 years of extensive studies have proven that ultrasound does not cause any harm to the mother or baby.

3D imaging is a non-diagnostic elective. Our HD technology will capture images of your baby that are unbelievably detailed, however, this exam is not to be in place of a complete diagnostic ultrasound. We recommend that all our soon to be moms be under the care of an OB or Midwife. Our services are meant to be a bonding experience between the mother and their baby.

We are able to do 2D scanning as early as 6 weeks! For 3D/4D imaging we recommend weeks 24-33 for optimal imaging. Keep in mind that the “chubby cheek” pictures are best between 30-33 weeks. We can scan baby later than 33 weeks, but remember that they do start to run out of space the closer you get to baby’s due date.

Yes, as early as 6 weeks, we can provide a “Sneak Peek” blood test and send it off for testing to determine baby's gender!

When these tests are done in a clinical setting, like ours, they are 99% accurate! Just to give you even more reassurance, we will schedule you a quick 10 min gender ultrasound when you are 15 weeks along, for free!

Usually, but not always. Sometimes if the baby is looking face down or sleeping during the ultrasound it may be difficult to see the baby’s face. We hope this wont be the case, but we proudly offer a 100% see-baby guarantee. If baby won’t cooperate, we will do everything we can to turn your experience around and make it a perfect one with a free reschedule!

No. Since 3D/4D is an elective service and is not intended to be a replacement for your doctor ordered ultrasound, so insurance does not cover any of the cost. We accept most forms of payment.

Hydration is key! Be sure to drink plenty of fluids and come with a full bladder. If it’s acceptable for your pregnancy, we also suggest “fasting” for 3 hours prior to your appointment start time, then drink a sugar drink (such as juice) 20 minutes before your appointment starts. The best results are obtained when the baby is most active.
