Week 7 of Pregnancy
Baby's growth
There's a new life inside you. You are now approximately 1.1 cm tall and weigh 0 g. The formation of your limbs continues. Small limbs appear that will become arms and legs. The lungs begin to form and the heart begins to beat. You can hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time with a special instrument called a dopler. The neural tube begins to form, which will become the brain and spinal cord.
Changes in mother
The uterus begins to increase in size and its internal walls become thicker to nestle the pregnancy, the cervix softens, the placenta and the umbilical cord begin to form, human chorionic gonadotropin begins to increase and its detection in the urine gives positive pregnancy tests.

Eat a variety of healthy foods from the five main food groups: grains, fruits, vegetables, dairy products, meats and proteins. Avoid sweets, chips, and other high-fat foods that make you feel full, but don't give you or your baby the vitamins and minerals you both need.
